Boat Plans
Shoestring Shipyard provides a variety of boat plans that have been designed specifically for the novice backyard boatbuilder. Most of the designs are simple flat bottomed skiffs that can be built with a minimal amount of basic carpentry tool. No specialized tools or equipment are required.
The majority of Shoestring Shipyard designs use plywood construction with the "glue and screw" building technique. No lofting is required for any of these designs. For most models we offer a step-by-step construction manual that is offered for puchase separate from the plans.
